Business coaching in Belfast

Business coaching for Belfast owners.

In person from Ballymena or by video across greater Belfast — one-to-one coaching for owners who have built something solid and want it to stop depending on them.

Coaching in Belfast

What does business coaching in Belfast look like?

One-to-one work, fortnightly, ninety minutes at a time — in person by appointment at our Ballymena office or by video from the site, the office or the kitchen table. We coach across four areas — personal, leadership, business and financial — using one method: Performance on Purpose.

01

A handful of customers carry the business.

In a market this size, two or three relationships often account for most of the revenue, and everybody knows everybody. That builds a business quickly and it makes pricing difficult, because the conversation you need to have is with someone you will see at an event next month. The work starts with what each customer is genuinely worth once the hours are counted.

02

The team has been here a long time.

Long service is an asset. It also means roles that were never defined, pay that follows history rather than the job, and performance conversations that nobody has had for years. Those conversations are harder in a place where staff, suppliers and customers are often connected to each other.

03

Nobody has said out loud what happens next.

Succession, retirement, bringing the next generation in or selling to the team. Owners think about it constantly and discuss it rarely, and the longer it stays unsaid the more of the business sits in one person’s head.

None of that changes what coaching is. It changes where the work points first: at the numbers behind the biggest accounts, at the conversations that have been carried for years, and at how much of the business would stop if you took a fortnight off. The pattern underneath is the same everywhere — the owner is the constraint — and the fix is a rhythm rather than a revelation.

In person or online

Where do sessions happen?

Our Northern Ireland base is Unit 13:62 Fenaghy Road, Ballymena, Co. Antrim, BT42 1FL, which is a straight run up the M2 from Belfast. In-person sessions run there by appointment, and most Belfast clients use video for the majority of sessions for a practical reason: a protected ninety-minute slot survives a bad month, and a round trip in traffic often does not.

The pattern that works well is in person for the first two diagnostic sessions, where the business gets mapped and the working relationship gets built, then video once the rhythm is set. The fee is the same whichever you choose, and you work with one coach throughout rather than being handed to an associate. Everything starts with a free discovery call. You can also message us on WhatsApp at +44 7457 428643 or email hello@buzzcoaching.co.uk.

If you are outside the city, the wider picture is on the Northern Ireland coaching page, which covers Antrim, Derry and Down as well.

The method

Performance on Purpose, in short.

One method, two questions asked at the same time: are you performing — and is the performance serving a purpose worth the effort it costs? It runs at four levels: you, your leadership, your business and your finances. Answered honestly, those two questions place you on a simple quadrant. Drifting is low on both. The Treadmill is a business that performs while the reason for it has quietly gone. Unfulfilled Potential is a purpose you believe in and delivery that never catches up. Performance on Purpose is both together, and that is the target.

Every session re-scores where you are, so progress is measured rather than remembered fondly, and the destination is the three freedoms: financial, time and mind. Explore Performance on Purpose, or see how coaching works from the first call onwards.

Four areas

Coaching across four areas of your business life.

01

Personal Coaching

How you think, decide and lead yourself. The work on clarity, energy and the decisions that have been sitting on your desk since last year, which in an owner-managed business are usually the expensive ones.

02

Leadership Coaching

Delegation, accountability and getting results through other people — including the conversations that are harder when half the team has been with you for a decade.

03

Business Coaching

Strategy, pricing, profit and systems. What each customer and each job really earns, and what to do about the ones that have been priced the same way for five years.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to travel to Ballymena for sessions?

No, and most Belfast clients do not. Our Northern Ireland base is Unit 13:62 Fenaghy Road, Ballymena, BT42 1FL, and in-person sessions run there by appointment. It is a straight run up the M2 when you want a table and a whiteboard, and it is an hour out of your day when you do not. The honest test is which version you will still be doing in month seven. Plenty of Belfast owners meet in person for the first two diagnostic sessions and move to video once the rhythm is set. The fee is exactly the same either way.

Do you coach businesses that sell into Britain and the Republic?

Yes, and it usually shows up in the numbers rather than in the strategy. Selling across a border means pricing in two currencies, carriage costs that move, longer payment cycles and stock or cash tied up while goods are in transit. The coaching work is to get those costs out of the average and into the job, so you can see what a Dublin order and a Birmingham order actually earn once everything is counted. Where the question turns into a tax or customs one, that goes to the accountancy side rather than being coached around.

Do you work with family businesses?

A lot of Northern Ireland businesses are family businesses, and they carry a particular version of the same problems. Roles were never defined because everybody just did what needed doing. Pay follows history rather than the job. The conversation about who runs the place next has been postponed for years. Coaching gives those conversations a structure and a neutral person in the room, which usually matters more than any advice given. The awkward part is naming who owns which decision, and that is normally the first piece of work rather than the last.

What does business coaching cost in Belfast?

The fee is the same wherever you are, because location only changes travel. Accountability Coaching is £495 a month, Financial Coaching £950, Leadership Coaching £1,250, one-to-one Business Coaching £1,500 and Strategic Growth Coaching £1,950, all plus VAT and billed monthly with no minimum term. The published UK ranges, and the arithmetic for working out whether a fee can pay for itself, are on our what coaching costs page. If the fee would genuinely stretch the business as it stands, say so on the call — being told to fix the cash position first and come back next quarter is a real answer here.
